The HEART of Our Operation...

The Junior Council supports the Pediatric and Adolescent HIV and AIDS programs of Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago.

Established in 1987 by Dr. Ram Yogev and Dr. Ellen Chadwick, The Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago HIV and AIDS Program cares for more children and adolescents than any other pediatric HIV service in the region.

Our mission is to support the clinic and ensure all children with HIV/AIDS, regardless or their ability to pay, have access to high-quality pediatric healthcare.

"With the continued hard work of the Junior Council, our patients don't have to worry if they get sick. The funds raised by this dedicated group help to pay for medical services and tests, for medicines, or event for a place to stay.

They allow us to maintain the simple things that make childhood so special."

Clinic Founder, Dr. Ram Yogev

In 2009, We unveiled The Junior Council's Dr. Yogev Treatment Fund, a fund that we will contribute $40,000 to every year to help meet the needs of some of Dr. Yogev's patients nearing the age of 18 who might not otherwise receive the care that they need.

The fund is used at Dr. Yogev's discretion and provides medical testing and treatment for procedures necessary for full treatment but not otherwise covered under patient insurance.
